Lost and Secrets Page 3
Sometime later, after three more rounds of mating, Jefferson sat at his desk. His shirt was ruined. So were his slacks. The place where Jochi bit him several times throbbed pleasantly. Jochi had gone into his bathroom to freshen up—not shower, because he wanted to wear Jefferson’s scent. The idea made his properly used length twitch and begin to fill again.
Dammit.
“Relax, Jefferson. This is what happens when we find our mates.” Jochi sat on his lap. “I need to be close to you.” He nuzzled the side of Jefferson’s neck he hadn’t bitten. “The mission went off without a hitch. Your daughters are fine and with their mates. Hayden, I believe, broke her hand.”
Jefferson stared down at him.
Jochi shrugged. “Holly had it coming.”
Yes, she did. After Henry Worthington kidnapped Hayden and held her in a dingy warehouse to be used as a “breeding whore,” according to the reports, yes—Holly and every single remaining Geithner deserved a fate worse than death. “Good.”
Jefferson stared out over the city. The sun barely touched the horizon turning the night sky into brilliant shades of purple and red. Once they left this office, Jefferson’s life along with his daughters, and the Raferty and Dryer families, wouldn’t be the same. Neither would Jochi’s. He’d be the lover of a senator before he’d be a mate. He’d be picked over and scrutinized by everyone.
“We’ll get through this, Jefferson.” Jochi kissed his chin.
Maybe.
“I should go home and change. Can’t be caught with cum stains on my clothes,” he teased, trying desperately to hide worry building within him.
“I suppose you can’t.” Jochi stood. “Will you be showering?” A twinkle of something filled his eyes.
Jefferson smirked. “You told me to wear your scent.”
“Then I might have to make a pit stop at your office later.”
Already the urge to fuck and rut began to build within Jefferson. As much as this was all new to him, he went with it. If he tried to deny his needs, he might find himself in some awkward predicaments. “Might want to make it sooner rather than later.”
Jochi yowled. “Understood.”
